Having trouble finding Classic Car parts? Here’s why..

Posted on September 20, 2021

You are likely aware that getting all of what you need to finish you restoration project has been difficult over the last year.

We know that it’s harder than ever to find your parts, and here’s why. Demand is at an all-time high. The pandemic has had a huge impact on the way we have lived over the past year. Travel restrictions and time away from the office has encouraged a focus on home projects – including auto restoration. This has caused demand like no other year

Supply chain issues. Most restoration parts come from overseas. Between international economic shutdowns and backups in overseas deliveries, it is increasingly difficult to forecast delivery times for restocking

We estimate that it may get worse before it gets better, but here is what we can do to help.

We sell from multiple vendors. This allows us options to piece together your order. In most cases the parts from one vendor to another are coming from the same manufacturer. The downside to that is that there may be some additional shipping charges in some cases.

We now offer restock alerts. We can now alert you via email when stock is replenished, rather than tying up your money on a long term Back Order. Parts that have an estimated date of delivery we still suggest that you place an order to guarantee incoming quantities. If we find there is no ETA (estimated time of arrival) for your parts, we will refund those orders and suggest taking advantage of this new feature.
